Course Description: This is a fundamental academic course designed to provide students with an understanding of the structure, organization, and operation of American government at the national, state, and local levels.
Instructional Philosophy: Our mission is to provide a quality education necessary for students to be successful in life. Students will gain an understanding of governmental processes and ways in which they can actively participate as citizens. All instruction and/or learning will focus on the Idaho Core Standards of Learning.

Course Requirements: Students will be expected to read the text regularly; complete daily assignments; participate in collaborative activities; complete a major project and presentation; write a research essay; and complete various assessments.
